Support that carries you from
pregnancy through postpartum

The perinatal period — from pregnancy through the first year after birth — is one of the most significant seasons of a person's life. It is also one of the most underserved. Too often, new parents receive a flurry of attention during pregnancy only to feel dropped and forgotten the moment their baby arrives.

At Birthstone Women's Wellness, we believe the postpartum period deserves just as much attention, care, and expertise as pregnancy itself. Your recovery matters. Your mental health matters. Your adjustment to parenthood matters.

Our prenatal and postpartum support services are led by a California Licensed Midwife with deep experience in the full arc of perinatal care — bringing clinical expertise, genuine warmth, and evidence-based guidance to every stage of your journey.

Support at every stage of
the perinatal experience

From the first trimester to the first year after birth — your needs change and our support adapts with you.

First & Second Trimester

Prenatal Education & Preparation

This is the time to ask questions, build knowledge, and create your support team. We help you understand what to expect during pregnancy, how to prepare for labor, and how to set yourself up for a strong postpartum experience — including early lactation education.

Third Trimester

Birth Preparation & Newborn Planning

As your due date approaches, the focus shifts to birth preparation, newborn care education, and putting your postpartum support plan in place. We cover feeding plans, birth preferences, newborn expectations, and how to ask for the help you will need after your baby arrives.

First Two Weeks

Immediate Postpartum Support

The first two weeks are among the hardest. Healing from birth, navigating a new baby, managing feeding, and running on minimal sleep — all at the same time. We are here for follow-up support, lactation guidance, newborn feeding questions, and emotional reassurance during this most intense period.

Weeks 3 Through 12

Postpartum Recovery & Integration

Physical recovery continues, feeding rhythms are established, and the emotional experience of new parenthood settles — or sometimes intensifies. This is an important window for mental health screening, feeding follow-up, physical recovery support, and ongoing guidance as your baby grows and your family finds its rhythm.

Many prenatal and postpartum services
are covered by insurance

Under the Affordable Care Act, many preventive and perinatal services are covered by insurance — including lactation counseling, postpartum follow-up care, and more. We work with a wide range of insurance plans across Riverside County and Southern California.

We verify your benefits before every appointment so you always know what to expect before you walk in the door or log into a virtual visit. Access to quality perinatal care should never be a financial decision.
