What's Included in Midwifery Prenatal Care?

At Birthstone Women's Wellness, prenatal care is designed to provide personalized support throughout your pregnancy.

Your Prenatal Care Includes:

• 45-minute appointments with a Licensed Midwife

• A prenatal visit schedule following standard obstetric care guidelines

• Routine prenatal assessments and monitoring

• Pregnancy education and counseling

• Birth planning and postpartum preparation

• Lab work ordered and collected in-office or during in-home visits when appropriate

• Ongoing access to your care team throughout pregnancy

Included Doula Support

One of the unique benefits of our practice is continuity of care. Every prenatal client is paired with a dedicated doula who follows them throughout their pregnancy journey.

Your doula will:

• Attend prenatal appointments when appropriate

• Provide pregnancy education and support

• Assist with birth planning

• Accompany you during labor and delivery at the hospital

• Provide postpartum support and follow-up

Additional Costs

Ultrasounds are not included in prenatal care services and are billed separately by the imaging provider.

Most patients can expect:

• First trimester ultrasound (around 12 weeks): approximately $35–$75

• Anatomy ultrasound (around 20 weeks): approximately $80–$150

These ultrasounds are an important part of routine prenatal care and are strongly recommended during pregnancy.
